Apparently Los Angeles is VERY dry today.
Ventusky weather website is reporting a dew point for some Los Angeles neighborhoods as -132°F (at 3pm PST). Seems pretty weird to me. That is ⅓ of the way to absolute zero from freezing. Is that even possible?
And VERY windy. Severe fire risk. Folks around there should be looking out for arsonists. You know that likely there is some psycho (or group of them) plotting to leverage these extreme fire conditions. (I think his last name is Newsom)
For international readers -132 Fahrenheit is equivalent to -54.4°C - it’s cold.

Someone, please for dog's sake, unplug the HAARP....
Dew point is just how low the temperature of a parcel of air would have to be cooled in order for it to become saturated. The formula they use to calculate it doesn't like zeroes much. IIRC it is only accurate for humidity over 50% and when you enter a null value it becomes absolute trash. My guess is they have a hygrometer on their weather station that has failed. When the computer calculates the dew point and then applies it to a isometric map it ends up some severe hard edged graphical illustrations to make it work.
When I was looking back and forth on that website the 2m humidity was reading as zero but the next higher humidity was at 50%. Now the 2m humidity is at 49% and the anomaly on the map has disappeared.
