Question: I always understood viral mutations as the MORE the better. The way mutations have been described for the last year is that they almost always result in a variant that is slightly more contagious, and simultaneously slightly less deadly. The logic behind this is if mutations resulted in a more deadly variant they would kill their own host before they could be transmitted and would not spread. Shouldn’t 32 mutations be a good thing? All I see is how scary omidud is because it has soooo many mutations. Predicting the scare-porn will be re-written soon once someone figures out lots of mutations aren’t a frightening enough selling point.
