The Oregonian article goes on to blames high interest rates for the lack of buyers. This is true, but as the initial story shows, who cares how high interest rates are when you have a homeless camp across the street? This Portland man is having a government-sponsored homeless camp being built right next to his house.

Re the Portland homeless camp; after looking at the proposed site information from the city of Portland [ link https://www.portland.gov/safe-rest-villages/locations-safe-rest-villages-and-culturally-specific-villages/peninsula-crossing], I would think that this camp would be a better thing than having homeless folks camping randomly as they do, now. What do you think? I currently live about 3 miles from the camp in question.
