Homelessness is a very difficult problem to solve. The village you link might be a great idea. I hope it works. I can understand though that home values would decline near such a place. A tent city would probably be worse however, it is tough, I don't have the answers to solve homelessness, well, short term. Long term I am convinced that the entire country could live with overwhelming abundance and prosperity if we removed the deep cause of all of our financial woes, which is a debt based fiat system that is being abused by corrupt bankers and politicians. I believe that if we could return to a sound money system, maybe based upon gold, silver, crypto, or even paper dollars, (but, ones that aren't inflated away to worthlessness) or a combination of the those, if we returned to a fair system, we wouldn't have to worry about homelessness. It wouldn't be a problem. The country would flourish, industry, small business. It would instigate a revolution of abundance where neighbors would have enough that they would help lift the few who still struggled. It's hard to keep people out of poverty when 99% of the wealth of your country has been stolen and handed out to corrupt bankers and politicians and their friends. We need to return accountability to our financial system or it will collapse. It may be inevitable at this point, but I am hopeful. I have faith in the ingenuity and genuine goodness of 99.9% of Americans. Working together we can fix anything. Fix the money system and the rest takes care of itself, in my opinion. And also, of course, we need to prevent the current plan that the worst humans on the planet have which is taking over all the world finances (after they intentionally collapse them) and implementing a global fiat system to enslave humanity. HA! Piece of cake right? We have some work to do. We need more minds awakened...

Re the Portland homeless camp; after looking at the proposed site information from the city of Portland [ link https://www.portland.gov/safe-rest-villages/locations-safe-rest-villages-and-culturally-specific-villages/peninsula-crossing], I would think that this camp would be a better thing than having homeless folks camping randomly as they do, now. What do you think? I currently live about 3 miles from the camp in question.
