yes it is weird, but after I posted that comment, I checked and it looks like it was a real deal and pretty intense hurricane. (I meant to delete that comment, but got side tracked and forgot...) Don't know why it didn't show up on the NOAA website unless it's as you said, moved onshore and dissipated.
